The world's longest established commercial hovercraft operator!

Hovertravel operations commenced on 24th July 1965 using an SRN6 hovercraft which carried just 38 passengers, travelling from Stokes Bay in Gosport, a service which ran for several years until operations were switched to Portsmouth.

 

Three modern 98 seat hovercraft now run between Ryde and Southsea, and more than 18 million passengers have used our service to date.
